Chilly Spring.....but great fishing!

Capt. Dave Sipler

Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

If summer heat never wants to get here.

It's okay with me!

I could easily live all year with cool mornings, and a high of 68-72 degree days.

Never having to turn on the A/C, would be great!!!

The soaking wet T-shirts by 9am, is something not all that appealing about summer time, for me.

With that said, there's the "INSHORE" fishing....

Which is ALWAYS better in the non-sun stroking months. (Nov. thru late April)

So, here's an example. Orange Slicker pants and all.

My tribute to one of my favorite "so called" reality shows on the Science Channel.

Wicked Tuna.

Except, this is "WICKED JETTYWOLF", in March in Florida.

More Fishing Reports:

Inshore fishing the St. Johns River, and estuaries around Jacksonville, Florida provides year round opportunities for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead to name just a few. Plus, seasonal favorites such as Shark, Tripletail and Pompano. The legendary Mayport Jetties are mile long piles of huge granite boulders that protect the inlet to the St. Johns River from the Atlantic Ocean. Around these jetties is some of the best and most consistent fishing.
