Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

Heat - Rain - wind - hot water - cool water -bait - no bait. It's all happened in the last few weeks.
Gotta love summer in J-ville.
It's a fluid world out yonder.....ya gotta stay rigidily flexible. Yeah and that's half the problem. If I'm out day after day, not a single day is ever the same, flexible or not!
But we've had some good days, thanks to the quality of the fisherman I've had aboard lately.
Here's Kevin, from N Georgia. He was so good that he even caught a nail, a blue work short, and a coffee filter all on the same spot. Let alone a bunch of healthy Mangrove Snappers to 16", and two Specks to 19". While flipping what I call the Lake Pontachatrain rig, out with a big spunky live shrimp.

THe 50 MPH winds and rains didn't bother Kevin or his father in-law Tom as they still fished in the stuff!

Then there's was Will, he was a zombie in the morning. Plus like a mummy, wearing long sleeves and rain gear all morning when it was like nice A/C to me. The air temp wasn't 90 at 8am, but rather 80 instead, which felt great!
After coming out of his coma like state, he managed a flounder and a 10 pound Jacks Cravalle, a black Drum pup, and some smaller fish.

The Jack kicked his can!
Last week we got run out of town by this!!!

But prior I had Brian catching some good ones.
But we had to go, this was looking bad!

Yesterday the 10 of July the beach ocean inlet water temp was 75, right on time for mid summer!
This wacko stuff is just part of summer in
J-ville. It was 83 degees, and the fish at the inlet were chewin. But now they're not.....wonder why?
