Pinnacle of Summer in Jax.

Capt. Dave Sipler
July 21, 2011
Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

Had a forced break, and it's called the Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament.

I say forced break, because I won't mess with that boat ramp in the morning when this tournament is going on. It's a zoo!

And so is the river during start and finish of the tournament.

Next year I'm heading to Louisiana during this same week....I alerted my crew, of the fact.
To mark it on their calendar's. We're all heading westward.

I had Monday to go do some R & D - research and development.

More Fishing Reports:

Inshore fishing the St. Johns River, and estuaries around Jacksonville, Florida provides year round opportunities for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead to name just a few. Plus, seasonal favorites such as Shark, Tripletail and Pompano. The legendary Mayport Jetties are mile long piles of huge granite boulders that protect the inlet to the St. Johns River from the Atlantic Ocean. Around these jetties is some of the best and most consistent fishing.
