What winter we had is OVER......

Capt. Dave Sipler
March 11, 2012
Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

Wow, it's SPRING already.

Gawd how I love winter, only because I'm not a intense heat kinda guy.

Didn't have much of a winter this year, and neither did the whole country according to everyone I talked too so far.

What I figured out is I'm actually busier when it's a winter of bone chilling temps and driving snow up north.

More people feel the need to "GET OUT!!!!"

So, with that said. Ya'll did miss alot. Back in January it was stroke the Trout Time!

Now, it's REDFISH! Really, how many azz handers do ya want to hook up?

Notice I didn't say "CATCH". Because you won't catch them all that bite.

In the last two days we've hooked monsters on light tackle and maybe 1/2 get to the boat.

Only because no one has fished this type of area before, or has many fish like this under their belts.....BUT IT'S ALWAYS WORTH A TRY, HUH?

Here's the latest on water video:

More Fishing Reports:

Inshore fishing the St. Johns River, and estuaries around Jacksonville, Florida provides year round opportunities for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead to name just a few. Plus, seasonal favorites such as Shark, Tripletail and Pompano. The legendary Mayport Jetties are mile long piles of huge granite boulders that protect the inlet to the St. Johns River from the Atlantic Ocean. Around these jetties is some of the best and most consistent fishing.
