Sebastian - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing on the Indian River remains strong with lots of sea trout and more and more jacks coming closer to shore. The larger jacks are still hanging in the Sebastian Inlet, where we caught one about 20 pounds and lost a few others in the same weight range. Some redfish have been brought in, but they're staying in very shallow waters--difficult territory for most boats to navigate. Lots of ladyfish are everywhere.
Water temps are still a bit on the cool side (65-69 degrees), and winds have been pretty steady for the whole week--coming in from the NE at about 15-25 for the better part of each day. We've also had some scattered thunderstorms, but they haven't lasted too long.
We'll be pulling the Florida boat out of the water early next week and heading back to CT at the beginning of the following week. Our 25-footer will be launched soon after we return to Norwalk, and our L.I. Sound charters should be starting up at the end of the month or the beginning of May, depending on the weather up there. Please watch this site for updates.
