Sebastian - Saltwater Fishing Report

We’ve had three or four trips since our last report.
Joe Wajda of New Jersey and two of his friends enjoyed a day of so-so fishing, catching some sea trout and a load of silver trout.
Rick Pino and Jack Balme of Sebastian boated redfish, snook, ladyfish, sea trout and silver trout, all of which were released.
This weekend Rick Pino and I caught lots of keeper trout; we saw several very large trout (5-6 pound class), but they wouldn’t hit anything thrown at them.
We’ve had winds almost every day, and the Indian River water temperature is still a bit low for this time of year—60-61 degrees.
The dock where our boat is tied up is about 99% repaired—a better situation than most of the docks in Sebastian right now. Only one launch ramp has been reopened since the hurricanes, so there aren’t as many boats out as usual. Progress is being made, but it’s very slow….
