Report for Sebastian Florida

Capt. Sal Tardella
December 2, 2006
Sebastian - Saltwater Fishing Report

We've been in Florida for a week now, and the boat's still in my carport! Unfortunately, there was a lot of maintenance to be done not only on the Hydra-Sports bay boat, but also on the trailer on which it's been sitting for the past eight months. One major problem and lots of little annoyances have demanded a lot of my time over the past several days, but we're waxing up the boat right now and hope to launch her on Monday, December 4th. If all goes as hoped, we should complete our shakedown cruise right after launch and have a fishing report in the middle of next week.

The weather's been warm and somewhat muggy, with windy conditions just about every day. The Indian River's depth in Sebastian is ultra low right now due to some high winds that were powerful enough to override tide tables. Our local friends tell us this phenomenon shouldn't last too long, and things should be back to normal over the next couple of weeks.
