Sebastian - Saltwater Fishing Report

Last Thursday afternoon I fished with Rick Pino of Sebastian. After a fairly-slow start in the Indian River we found a decent body of sea trout north of the Sebastian Inlet, tallying 18--with four keepers in the lot.
As evening approached we went looking for grouper and brought in two that were just short of keeper size, and the third fish we hooked (much larger, of course) broke off after catching our line in an artificial reef.
Throughout the trip we caught a mangrove snapper, jacks and ladyfish, as well--and all in all, it was a good day on the water.
The water temps are still a bit on the cool side--not much above 68 degrees. When it warms up to 70 and above, the conditions will be better for local anglers.
