Sebastian - Saltwater Fishing Report

Our Florida boat is now in the water and ready for 2011-2012 winter season action. We'll be doing some scouting this week, but we've heard reliable reports of large trout being caught, as well as snook and bluefish in the Indian River.
The Sebastian River has also been very productive for the past several weeks—with redfish, ladyfish and trout—as well as the ever-elusive 15-30lb tarpon teasing everyone as they playfully roll among the mangrove-lined canals.
As of two weeks ago large reds were being caught in the Sebastian Inlet, with the largest reported fish weighing 40 pounds. However, the water's been very rough in the Inlet for several weeks, and it's a challenge for smaller boats.
