Stick Marsh-Farm 13 - Freshwater Fishing Report

David Liu and wife Lisa rode with me, and Bob Brewster and wife Susan rode with Scott. Scott headed for the center N/S ditch and we picked the 1st ditch as you come around the end of the center levee.

Our primary bait was a Carolina rig, and Scott's boat was using mostly rattletraps. We fished the length of the ditch to the intersection of the E/W ditch and Scott fished from about midway down the Center ditch to the intersection.

The bite today was sporadic with shad bust occuring along the center ditch and at the intersection of the center ditch. However, fishing the busts only turned up smaller bass.

Big fish came on our boat at 4.5 pounds with most of the fish on our boat between 2 and 3 pounds. Big fish on Scott's boat was only 3 pounds.

It certainly wasn't the bite of a couple of days ago, but it was still respectable and everyone had a good time. Over 50 bass were caught and the weather was fantastic as was the company.
