Stick Marsh & Farm 13

Capt. George Welcome
October 16, 2002
Stick Marsh-Farm 13 - Freshwater Fishing Report

Submitted by George, Imagination Bassin Guide Services

Date Fished: 10/15/02

Water Temperature: 80

Water Clarity: 1 foot

Water Temperature: 80 and stained

Water Clarity: 1 foot

Launch time: Daylight

Quitting time: 3:00 PM

Weather: Clear skies, light wind, with rainstorms late in the day to the west. The weatherman could not have been more off than today. The forecast called for 90% chance of T-storms and winds 15-20. We never had more than a light breeze.

Baits used: Rattletraps

Areas fished: All the areas are on Farm 13: Center N/S ditch - Center E/W ditch -Intersection of the above ditches - North end of 1st N/S ditch - North end swale - South end of center N/S ditch and adjacent waters.

Well, the guys hoped to top yesterday and they did. They will have plenty to talk about when they get back to NC as they caught a lot of fish today and some big ones to boot. The shad cooperated by swimming over the schools and turning up the catching and the pictured fish came right out of the middle of one of the schools.

We found fish at all locations with the south end of the center N/S ditch, and east of the same ditch being the big producers. There was an exception to the rattle trap bite in the south areas and that bite was the weightless T-rigged Senkos.

As this water cools down into the 70's I expect to see some spectacular top water fishing. You only have to be in the right place at the right time and that's where we come in. Give us a call.

See you on the water. Say hi if you get the chance.
