Downeast - Freshwater Fishing Report

Here it is the first part of May and the season is going full steam.
All ponds and lakes in my area are ice free. Streams, brooks, and rivers in this area were getting back to normal but we have had some rain and they are starting to fill again.

Togue and LL Salmon are bitting trolling flies, lures, amd sewn bait in our ponds and lakes.
Brookies have been hitting lures and flies quit hard also.

This time of year we have a lot of wind and the water is still very cold. So make sure to wear your life jacket and keep an eye on the weather.
Good luck and be safe.

At this time I am booking trips for trolling for LL Salmon and Togue. Give me a call to go.

Come fish with us east of the Penobscot River, which is known as the Downeast area of Maine. This area has lots of ponds, lakes, and streams to be fished. Trolling streamer flies is one of Maine's fishing traditions. Early spring trolling for Landlocked Salmon and Trout. Troll for Togue (Lake Trout) and other fish through the summer and fall months. Plus fishing for Large or Smallmouth bass with either fly or spinning gear. I also offer icefishing trips in the winter.
