Trying to get Back to Normal - Hi Folks,
Finally dared to venture out 2 weeks after the big rain (12+ inches locally). After some fruitless searching we found some hungry red drum. We were fishing in the waterway near Wrightsville Beach with live poagies on Carolina rigs. Me and more...

Fall Fishing Is Beginning - Hi Folks,
It is very windy here and I finally have time to post a report.
INSHORE: Reds and flounder are biting well on live bait.
NEAR SHORE: Spanish macks and blues are biting trolled rigs and flounder are biting at the near shore reefs.

Finally end of summer - Fishing this summer on the Outer Banks has been hit or miss for the inshore fishing. Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel and most of the other inshore species have not been caught in any great numbers. The offshore bite has been much better. Many days, limits more...

Southeast NC Inshore Fishing Forecast September - Fall is trying so very hard to show up around the area but, with these weather changes comes ‘weather' and for the last few weeks it's been in the form of rain and thunderstorms! Wrightsville Beach Fishing Forecast for August - August fishing around Southeast NC can be great, but due to a few different weather scenarios; high heat, super dry, super wet etc… you may need to tune how you fish during August. It's TOO Hot! - Hi Folks,
Yes we are catching some fish, but you have to brave the heat to do it.
Inshore, mostly flounder, reds and some trout and mostly on live bait.
Near Shore the Spanish are biting one day and then not the next...go figure.

Hot Weather Hot Fishing - Hi Folks,
Yeah, you read it right. Today in 81 degree water we caught 3 nice trout on finger mullet. Good eating tonight. Water temps are very warm and early morning fishing is by far the best. Here's my report:

It's All Biting - Fishing is pretty much on fire in southeastern NC. Around Wrightsville and Carolina beaches and the Cape Fear River, flounder, reds and trout are biting inshore. The Spanish and cobia are biting near shore. Kings and some mahi are biting in the 10-30 more...
