Big tarpons and hot reef fishing

Capt. Luis Lagrandier
April 11, 2013
San Jose Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

Few days of heavy rain activated the Big fish bite. During Easter week we had a lot of rain, with this rain the bite improved a lot. Tarpons of over 100 pounds were caught during the last few weeks. The bite slowed down a little, but big fish are around still.
On the other hand, the Wind slowed down giving us flat seas and the oportunity to fish the feeds. The bite has been HOT!!! Groupers, snapper, jacks and mackerels are the Tyler of the day. We released 43 fish in a 4 hrs trip with only three fisherman.

San Jose Lagoon Fishing Forecast:

Lighter winds and flat ocean conditions are expected, so reef fishing is the way to go.

Target Species:

tarpon, snook, barracudas, jacks, groupers, snappers
