I had the pleasure this morning to fish with Matt Evans and Matt Ory from Thibodeaux. Started the morning reeling in the specks 1-2 at a time every-cast. Lots of pecker trout in the first two schools throwing back at least 30-40 fish. Our 3rd school is what we were looking for as we had good 14-17 inch fish coming in every-cast. Great top-water action for Matt O as he had a blast watching the trout slam the top water baits most of the morning. Matt E and I threw tandem rigged chubs all morning. The boat got slimmed up good today!!!! The guys were limited on time and wanted to put a few reds in the box, so at 9:45 when # 65 hit the ice they said "let's go". We made a quick drift in one pond picking up five reds real quick on gold spoons. Plenty fish for the guys and it was time to head in. We found a good flock of birds while heading in and added another five trout to the box. Back at the dock before 12:00. What a fantastic day, thanks guys! Thanks also to Capt Bill Lake for putting the trip together.
