Estero Bay Redfish Are Starting to Show - A good week of fishing was had despite the return of higher winds. Most trips were taken in the back country of Estero Bay with a few quick trips into the Gulf. Trout were biting well on live shrimp under popping corks and it wasn't unusual to pick more... Capt. My Report of the last 5 days in SW FL - On Friday winds were +25
On Sat winds exceeded 35 on Pine Island Sound. My charter was a bust. After 4 hours it became unsafe and we returned to the dock.
On Sunday I gave a charter to another Captain. He canceled it. Winds were 30 on Sinday.

Everything seems to be a little late this year, bait has been confined to the bay and beaches making the larger schools of tarpon just not being seen yet.
