SW FL fishing is about to EXPLODE - Grouper/Cobia/KINGS/and HUGE SPANISH are no more than 5 miles offshore. They are so close to shore I refer to their location as NEARSHORE not OFFSHORE.

Grouper Season starts in 2 weeks. Should be good - The Governor of Florida (Rick Scott) has grouper season scheduled to be opened from Sept 15 to Nov 15. On November 16th Florida Fishing Guides will be able to keep 1 redfish for their customers.

Next Fishing Trip will be 27July2011 - SW FL, especially Pine Island, is not the place to be this summer. The mosquitos are simply overwhelming, vicious, and blood sucking. Locals say it is the worst year in recent memory.
