Mack Attack - Spanish Mackerl and kingfish made a good showing off Anna Maria beaches this past week. All you have to do is find the flocks of birds over the bait schools and the predators are not far behind. Put a chum bag out and a few live baits and your in bus more...

The fall migration has begun! - The days are getting shorter and just a little cooler. If we notice the difference you can bet the fish do. Bait is stacking up at the mouth of Tampa bay as well as just of the beaches.

Seeing Red - Red fishing has really picked up the past couple of weeks. The big schools of breeders have invaded the flats. Most of these fish are over size between twenty nine inches and thirty four inches.

Changes are coming - The west wind we have had for the last couple of weeks finally changed to the east. Anytime we are in a westerly pattern it seems it just makes fishing in are area harder. We still caught fish, you just had to work for every bite.

Welcome the doormats - Went for a change of pace this week. Headed out to the nearshore reefs to check out the spanish and mangrove bite. On wednesday we caught nice mangrove snapper while bottom fishing the one mile reef. When that bite slowed I started moving around and more...
