It was COLD!
Thank God this cold spell is almost over. Had clients adamant about going out in the cold with air temps in the low 50's and I couldn't talk them out of it. Totally changed my fishing tactics and species. Sheepshead and more... Capt. Jim Conant - Matlacha

Jigs and swimming plugs ruled the day

Snookin !! - The North wind blowing cold at a speed of 25
All stayed home but I knew the canals were alive
We did a four hour trip with a little mix
A redfish, trout and the Snook landed was 36
A good trip and tomorrows client will do the same

The bite was good - So here we are in 2018 receiving a nice push of cold air on day one. Up to today the bit was good in the back bays and near shore wrecks and reefs for a variety of different species. This cold front will slow things down for a few days, however help more... Capt.
