Grouper Season starts in 2 weeks. Should be good - The Governor of Florida (Rick Scott) has grouper season scheduled to be opened from Sept 15 to Nov 15. On November 16th Florida Fishing Guides will be able to keep 1 redfish for their customers.

Dodging Lightning Strikes in SW FL is not my idea - I'm back in Maryland. My 13 days in SW FL sucked. My idea of fun is not going out for bait, picking up customers, worrying about their safety and mine, and taking them back to the ramp out of safety concerns.

Next Fishing Trip will be 27July2011 - SW FL, especially Pine Island, is not the place to be this summer. The mosquitos are simply overwhelming, vicious, and blood sucking. Locals say it is the worst year in recent memory.

Maybe finally a terrific week lies ahead - The wind is decreasing and this will be key to a successful week. Since my last report there have been few days worth crowing about.
