Palm Beach / Jupiter salt and freshwater inshore report - The past week offered plenty of cold air and wind, tough conditions at times, we must roll with mother natures punches. Warm air would be nice but the fronts continue to push south.
The inshore fishing for snook and tarpon is still action packed, more...

Estero Bay: Big Redfish & Sheepshead - The bay is holding a lot of quality redfish. The question is, how do you catch them? A great tip would be to scan a flat or mangrove line to physically see the fish. When you have located them, slowly move off of the spot, anchor up and be patient.

January Brings Good Variety - In the beginning of the month I did a few reef trips on the 40 ft. ledge off Sunny Isles. Bait was good so I decided to chum the same spot for a couple days. The ledge produced big Spanish and cero mackerel with a mix of kingfish, yellowtail snapper, more...

SW FL-Bonita Beach: Shark, Grouper, lots of rough seas - Monday, 1/19/15, predictions for 15-knot winds and seas of two to three feet were just wrong! The wind blew 20 to 25 knots and seas were four-feet-plus at times, 18 miles west of New Pass, where I fished with David Bloomfield, David Price, and David more...

Good Live Bait Maximizes Tough Conditions - Since my last report, fishing around the Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale area was again a challenge due to the condition we've had recently with a south current, or at times, no current. Regardless, for all our trips, we always buy live goggle eyes fr more...

SW Florida - Redfish: The water temperature is in the low 60's. The fish have migrated back into the deeper creeks and holes, when found you'll get into a bunch of them. I've been doing best on any tide that has good current. Shrimp, shiners & cut bait has been more...
