Waters are warming - Lakes and Ponds in my area of Downeast Maine has been producing a few fish. It has been deep water trolling with sewn smelts for Togue, LL Salmon, and Browns. No real big fish but have been catching some. They range 16-20 inches.

Fishing in Downeast Maine - AH! Spring has come and the temps are warming up. Water levels are down here in places of the Downeast area. Trolling streamer flies for LL Salmon has been fun this spring. Black Ghost and Gray Ghost tandems have been doing well. Sowed on smelts or more...

Early Season Report - Been having a great time fishing for Brookies thru the ice. The last day out in about 4 hours we caught 14 fish. They went from 10-13.
A number of days we caught 15-20 trout. These are all native fish.
