Snook on the loose. - Summer is almost here and the water temp. is in the upper 70s which is perfect for the snook bite.
We've been doing well on the gulfside (as long as theirs no wind)and also in the backcountry.
Those large snook are becoming somewhat easier to take more...

Largest snook of the year. - All threw March and up to this point in April,I've been sighting some of the largest snook of the year.
Sighting them, and getting them to eat a fly or soft jerk bait is a different story.
These fish are in the 12 to 20 plus pound range in the Back more...

Chokoloskee Tarpon, Reds and The Snook Bite - Well what can you say but wind and cold.

Tarpon Rising - The tarpon have been pretty spread out,but their here in numbers if you have the conditions to spot them ,or blow one out when your searching.
By searching I DONT mean running threw a bay and blow one out.

Cold and Winds - The cold water has somewhat put the bite off as far as the snook fishing goes until later in the day as the water slightly worms up.
The reds have been quiet the opposit,drop in a jig about 2 feet in front and Wham,you have him on.

Snook-- Laid Up Tarpon--Reds - Winter months in Chokoloskee can keep even the most salty of the salts off the water till it worms up.
I personally love this time of year and always get out for the first bite.
