Unlimited Catchin' - Holy smokes has the river around Mayport where I depart from been jam packed with big fat Croakers, that have become Addictive to my charter clients.
Yes, they aren't monster glory fish. But many of the Croak's are big as far as Croak's go...

Inshore/nearshore report Jacksonville area waters - People on shore are sweltering in 95-100 degree heat, while we fishermen ply our trade atop 76 degree water. That's as close as you can get to outdoor air conditioning in Florida.

Hot Summer....go deep and big, or don't go. - It's that time of year on the St. Johns River and inlet where ya cannot fish a single shrimp, because of the bait snatchers down on the bottom.
I don't care where you are; a creek, the river, the inlet, the surf.
That shrimp will not last a mi more...
