amberjack on spin tackle - Fishing has been real productive with this water temp rising everything is biting. A little disapointed with the size of red snapper in shallow water off destin alot of 2 to 3 pound fish a month ago there were all averaging 5 to 7 pounds. Jack fishin more... Capt. Snappers and More Snappers! - The long awaited opening day of Red Snapper season finally came and I don't think anyone was disappointed. The fish are still everywhere and anyone who went out had a nice limit in the box pretty quick.

Stormy weather trout. - A low developed in the gulf yesterday pushing squalls and pressure changes with it. It also pushed a lot of water into the bay giving the trout and reds more places to hide. Opening Day Snapper and Grouper - The Gulf of Mexico Red Snapper season opened on Monday. You could have not asked for a more perfect day,
light southwest winds and 1-2 ft seas. Fished with the intention of catching grouper while filling our snapper
