Trying to Stay Cool... - Getting on the water early doesn't mean you can beat the heat but at least you can avoid direct contact with the sun for a few hours. As hot as it is right now the humidity makes it even worse.

Trout and Reds - With just a smattering of flounder the staple has been trout and redfish. You can still get an outsized red as well as some 20-27 trout on the lower halves of the tides back in most of the creeks.

No Shortage of Heat or Fish! - The Flounder gigging has been up and down even though the other night we did get 17 fish. Last week we gigged for 3 hrs and only saw a few Flounder. The Sheepshead have been everywhere in the creeks but they are hard to gig!

Inshore/nearshore report Jacksonville area waters - Fishing has picked up considerably since my last report. Just about all of our migratory fish have made an appearance.
